Fall 2026 Honors Freshmen Early Registration
Welcome to the Illinois State University Honors Program!
The information you provide on the registration form will allow the Honors Program to provide you with the benefit of early registration. In order for us to create fall schedules for all incoming Honors freshmen in a timely manner, we ask that you complete the form (link at the bottom) as soon as possible. The form should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. This document includes helpful tips to complete the form (also included as a handout with the registration mailing).
Please note that while Honors Advisors will consider your preferences when creating schedules, we must also take into account course requirements and work within the framework of fall course offerings. Based on the information you provide, your schedule will take into account known and possible credit from AP tests and/or IB tests as well as dual/transfer credit. As part of your Preview experience, you will meet with an Honors Advisor to review your fall schedule and make adjustments as necessary.
If you haven't already done so, please schedule your Preview Orientation.
Before you complete the form:
Gather the following:
- List of courses taken or in progress at a community college, including courses taken for dual credit (institution, department, course number, course title, and grade)
- List of the Advanced Placement and/or IB tests you have taken or plan to take and the scores you earned (if known)
- List of your grades from World Language classes taken in high school
- If you plan to take French, German, Italian, or Spanish, complete the online placement test
- The registration form asks for the results of your placement test
- Advisors will not register a student for French, German, Italian, or Spanish without the results of a placement test
