Forms to complete an Honors Contract should be submitted by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
Exceptional Honors Contracts involve engaged participants who collaborate to develop a compelling plan, guided by a recommended process, to support the creation of a product that could be shared with an audience.
Purpose: Collaborate with an instructor to turn a regular course into an Honors Learning Experience. Students select an aspect of a course or a related topic to take learning further and create a product that integrates one or more Dimensions of Honors Learning. Approximately 15 hours of work beyond regular course requirements is required, which is about one additional hour per week.
Evidence: At the end of the semester, students are responsible for submitting evidence of their Honors Contract to the Honors Program. Students will be contacted with instructions on how to submit their evidence. This evidence is required in order to count the Honors Contract as an Honors Learning Experience to fulfill Honors Program participation requirements. The Honors Program will archive this evidence in the student's digital portfolio.
The Honors Program is not evaluating the evidence; instructors are responsible for evaluating the student's performance and verifying the successful completion of the Honors Contract using the following categories:
Instructors will also have the opportunity to provide comments about the student's performance that will be archived with the student's evidence.
